Wondering where you can take your family on a fun outing this weekend?
Look no further than Jerudong Park (JP) Garden, which kicked off its first ever carnival yesterday, billed as the ‘Ultimate Family Weekend’.
The fun fair marks the 3rd anniversary of the relaunch of Jerudong Park Playground, and was also organised in conjunction with National Family Day 2017, said Faiq Airudin, assistant officer of sales and business development at JP.
During the weekend, tickets to JP Playground are just $3 per person, which includes access to all the rides (but excludes the waterpark). The ticket also entitles patrons to free admission to the JP Family Carnival.
With over 40 different vendors joining the event, visitors can enjoy tons of games and activities such as Bucket Ball Challenge, Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, Bubble Monkey, ring toss, face painting and try a F1 simulator. Games and activities are priced separately from the ticket.
There will also be a wide range of food and drinks available from some of Brunei’s best street vendors, ranging from popsicles and churros to fried noodles and pizzas. One of the food vendors, Shots of Sugar, said the carnival was a great platform for pop-up businesses to gain exposure and help build momentum for their business.
Visitors to the JP Family Carnival won’t want to miss the luck draw, with attractive prizes such as airline tickets to Kuala Lumpur, mobile phones, and gift certificates to various restaurants.
During the carnival, an outdoor cinema will also be set up, screening movies at 7.00 pm. The musical fountain is also set to dazzle the audience with shows at 8.30 pm on the weekend.
If you missed the first day of the carnival, don’t be disappointed! The carnival continues today until Sunday with the gates opening at 10am and close at 10pm.
